An eight-year-old girl who was injured in a road accident when a van in which she was travelling with collided with a truck on November 16 night near Best Price Store, died on Sunday.

The family was on way for medical examination after the family was assaulted near their house. The deceased and her family member were in van which was hit by a speeding truck late in the night on Friday.

The deceased identified as Ladli along with her family was on her way to medical examination in assault case and met accident near Best Price Store.

SHO Nishatpura Yuvraj Singh Chouhan said that father of deceased Barelal is mischievous and has been booked for assault and had a fight with Monty over money. On November 16 Monty and Barelal had a fight after which Barelal along with family came to the police station in a van and lodged a complaint.

For conducting medical two police personnel went in the same van to the Hamidia but met accident. The injured girl died on Sunday, he added.

The truck driver was driving rashly as even after spotting the van he continued at speedily manner.

Police have seized the truck from the spot. The truck driver escaped the spot leaving the truck and was nabbed later.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started the further investigation.

The van was carrying around 12 persons. The two policemen were accompanying the victims and deceased and one injured was identified as Rehman who was victim in other case.
