AAP asks Capt to look into State affairs rather than wasting money on buying new cars

Wednesday, 21 November 2018 | PNS | Chandigarh

Criticising Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for his disinterest in the state affairs, the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday accused him of abandoning the State and its people who are waiting for the promises made by him before elections to be fulfilled.

“Rather than wasting money on buying new cars for the Ministers and his advisers, Capt Amarinder must look into the state affairs,” said AAP’s state core committee chairman Principal Budhram.

He also criticised the Congress Government of ignoring the rights of the people of the state, in the wake of government’s financial instability and stalling salaries and pensions of the employees. “The present condition is the outcome of bad economic policies of the Punjab Government,” he said.

Budhram said that as per the reports, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is short of fund to pay even the salaries and pensions of employees for month of November. “The Board needs Rs five crore for the purpose of paying salaries and Rs 4.5 crores for pensions, but at present, the Board has just Rs three crores in its account,” he pointed.

He said the Board is unable to provide free books and uniforms to the children. The education system of state has failed due to the State Government’s apathy.
