Aman Singh resigns after BJP rout in C’garh

Former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) official and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raman Singh, Aman Kumar Singh resigned on Wednesday following defeat of Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently conducted assembly polls in Chhattisgarh.

Singh played a key role in giving a technological edge to the Chhattisgarh Government through implementation of various e-governance projects and also successfully developed hi-tech green field city Atal Nagar. 

He was the most influential official in the Raman Government and was included in the list of five most powerful bureaucrats in the country.

Singh also successfully launched the Sanchar Kranti Yojana (SKY) in the state which was launched to ascertain mobile connectivity in remote rural locales of the state along with the urban areas.
