Even though the State police have issued advisories regarding circulation of objectionable videos and announced stringent punishment for the offence, obscene videos continue to go viral on social media in different parts of the State.
In the latest instance, a video of private moments between a youth and a girl in a room is getting circulated on WhatsApp across the State, especially in Bhadrak district.
Reports said while the young man is a resident of the Rasulgarh area in Bhubaneswar, the girl hails from Chandbali in Bhadrak district. It was further ascertained that the girl is engaged a private company and the youth is the owner of the firm.
After being aware about the video, the girl allegedly tried to commit suicide. Notably, the young man was earlier arrested a year ago for circulating obscene videos.
However, till now, no police complaint has been lodged in connection with the incident.
