Anushka Shrivastava from Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal submitted a project named Biodegradable Water Bottle using Local Material has brought fame and laurels to State by its selection at the first position on innovative invention in Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Competition organized by National Innovation Foundation- India (NIF) in association with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Honey Bee Network and other partners every year to promote creativity, originality and innovation amongst children.
From all over India, 90,000 submissions of students from 643 districts of all the States and Union Territories of India were received out of which only 21 projects got selected in 2018.
Anushka had submitted this project work under the guidance of Shubhangi Nemade working as a PGT Biology in Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal who has brought in the National as well as International fame and awards to school. Anushka will be felicitated by the President of India on November 17, 2018.
Anushka’s innovation was about creation of a biodegradable bottle made up of powdered coconut coir and moss with khus grass as inner lining layer to keep water fresh.
