Army chief agrees to army operating Srinagar medical college

The chief of army staff, General Bipin Rawat accorded his consent to the State’s request for the army to operate the Srinagar medical college.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met the army chief in the national capital on Friday.

During their meet, they discussed the proposed operation of the Srinagar medical college by the army. General Rawat expressed his consent to this proposal.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed in the near future between the State and the army regarding the Srinagar medical college. Army officers will visit Dehradun and discuss the details of the MoU with officials of the State Government, according to Government sources.
