ATM card stolen, girl loses Rs 30K

An employee of Ondoor store was targeted and an ATM card was stolen from her bag and Rs 30,000 were withdrawn using the ATM card in the month of October.

The  TT Nagar police on Wednesday registered a case of theft.

According to the police, the victim Shivani Raikwar found that ATM card was missing from her purse when she went to withdraw cash and received three message of withdrawal of Rs 10000 each.

 In her complaint she stated that after completing work on October 20 she went to withdraw money from an ATM at Bittan market but failed to find ATM card inside the purse and around the same time she received three messages of withdrawal of Rs 10000 each in her mobile phone.

The police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

The victim works as auditor with Ondoor at TT Nagar office. 

After the investigation police found that the claims made by the victim were true and based on the investigation police have registered case against unidentified miscreant.

For establishing identity police would investigate CCTV footages of the incident day of the ATM and nearby installed CCTV cameras.

The victim had provided details of places which she visited during the day.

Police have not denied involvement of employee of the company deployed at office where the victim works.
