Police on Sunday arrested three persons for attacking a scribe named Ishwar Chandra Mangaraj near the court premises here on Friday.
The arrestees were identified as Prakash Kumar Hati, Ranjit Patnaik and Soumyaranjan Hati.
Sources said that Mangaraj was allegedly attacked by a group of persons led by Odisha Union of Working Journalists (OUWJ), Khordha president Prakash Kumar Hati.
When Mangaraj’s two sons reached the spot, they were also attacked by the miscreants. And when the police rushed to the spot, the miscreants fled. Later Mangaraj’s wife Binodini Mangaraj had lodged an FIR in the matter in the Town police station.
