B’swar body makes fresh demands for healthcare

The local Government Medical College and Hospital Action Committee, which has been spearheading a movement for establishment of a Government medical college here, on Monday made a fresh set of demands including construction of an AIIMS satellite centre, an Ayush hospital, a college for Ayurveda and pharmacist training, creation of a herbal garden, filling up all vacant posts of doctors and paramedics in the Government hospitals. The committee mentioned the charter of demands in a meeting held on 13th foundation day. DIG, Eastern range, Amitendranath Sinha, lauding the efforts of the committee observed that by its relentless struggle, a long standing demand, establishment of a Government medical college and hospital was fulfilled.
