Basic facilities in Aska SDH demanded

The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch held its 74th Ghanta Yatra (cymbal rally) here recenlty, demanding basic facilities and filling up of all doctor posts in the Aska Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) at the earliest.

In a memorandum to the CMDO, the Manch also demanded proper functioning of different machines in the Brahmapur City Hospital and 24-hour service at the Niramaya centre here.

Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya said that even if the State Government had in November 2017 declared the Aska Community Health Centre as a Sub-Divisional Hospital, yet it lacks basic facilities of digital X-ray, ultrasound and CT-scan machines.

He also demanded that a boundary be constructed soon around the hospital.

Gaya also said though the City Hospital was declared as a satellite hospital of the MKCG Medical College Hospital in 2017, yet necessarly facilities have not been provided to the hospital and senior doctors from the MKCG are not attending the hospital.
