Bhopal records season’s lowest temperature

The State capital on Friday recorded the lowest night temperature of this season at 9.7 degree Celsius while lowest night temperature of the state was recorded at Datia and Khajuraho at 5 degree Celsius.

Cold winds have made weather conditions extremely cold and would intensify in the next 2-3 days. Bhopal recorded the lowest temperatures of the season. The day temperature was recorded at 22.4 degree Celsius and night temperature was recorded at night temperature at 9.7 degree Celsius. Speedy cold winds with a speed of 14-16 km/hr were witnessed in the early morning on Saturday and late night on Friday.

The northern part of the state is likely to witness rainy activities in the next 24 hours.

The regions which are likely to witness fog in the morning hours are Datia, Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur. Significant dip in the temperatures was recorded in Shahdol division.

Met official told that cold winds after the snow fall has made the weather condition extreme. The temperatures are likely to dip by 1-2 degrees Celsius in the next 2- 3 days.

The regions which recorded low night temperatures were Shajapur which recorded 7.5 degree Celsius. Ratlam recorded 8.3 degree Celsius, Rajgarh recorded 8.5 degree Celsius and Dhar recorded 8.7 degree Celsius. Dry weather will prevail across the state. Temperatures will fall further while mist and haze will prevail in rest parts of the country over many places and little drop in night temperatures is likely over the state.

Gwalior was the coldest place among the major cities which recorded 6 degree Celsius as night temperature while Jabalpur recorded night temperature at  9.8 degree Celsius and Indore recorded night temperature at 9.6 degree Celsius.
