Union Minister of State, Jitindra Singh on Monday alleged that by making Rafael deal’s discussion public, Congress has put matters of country’s national security at risk.
The matters of national security should never be a topic of public debate. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s formidable leadership has frustrated Congress and they are engaging in such inaccurate, baseless and illogical accusations against the government, said Singh while talking to the mediapersons here.
Chandigarh State President Sanjay Tandon was also present on the occasion.
Singh said, the Congress party filed four petitions in the Supreme Court regarding this matter alleging irregularities on three issues – pricing, procedure and offset partner. The Supreme Court after hearing and scrutinizing the documents has set aside all petitions. The Court noted that all set standards and procedures were followed by the government, the Minister said while condemning the Congress for their allegations in Rafael deal.
The Supreme Court has upheld that the procurement procedure carried out was independent, transparent with no scope or solid basis to doubt this agreement vindicating the government of all charges of irregularities in the deal, he added.
Meanwhile, Congress castigated the Union Government for allegedly giving a false affidavit to the Supreme Court in Rafale deal.
Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar on Monday alleged that to cover up their corruption, the Union Ministers are holding press conferences but the people have seen through their game and no effort of BJP will succeed.
Tanwar said that the BJP Government itself has provided a proof of their falsehood by requesting the Supreme Court to revise the verdict of Rafale case. The Union Government did not lie only in case of price of the Rafale fighter plane but also misstated the fact regarding the date of constitution of Reliance Defence Ltd.
