BJP padyatras visit 55,000 villages, wards

The Uttar Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that the party’s padyatras which carried the message of good governance of Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath governments had so far touched over 55,000 villages and wards across the state.

Campaign in-charge Govind Narain Shukla said that braving cold and fog, party workers and  legislators had so far covered 55,300 villages and wards, telling people about projects of Central and UP governments.

As per the programme, six teams comprising 25 members take out the padyatra. Senior leaders and legislators at different levels take part in the padyatras.

Shukla claimed that so far, 15 lakh party workers had participated in the campaign.

“Over 6,000 chaupals have been held and several leaders have stayed for the night in villages. The response has been good. BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey and general secretary Sunil Bansal are monitoring the progress of the campaign,” he said.
