Former Zila Panchayat President of Dantewada Chabindra Karma defied the Congress party’s diktat on Thursday and filed nomination papers as an independent candidate from the Dantewada Assembly constituency.
Chabindra Karma would be contesting against his mother Devati Karma who is at present sitting Congress legislator from Dantewada and is likely to get party ticket to contest again from the constituency.
