The four-day Chhath festival concluded on Wednesday morning with  devotees paying obeisance to the rising Sun across the State. Devotees offered 'arhgya' to the rising Sun marking the end of the festival.

Thousands of devotees accompanied by their family members, relatives and friends thronged the Konar, Damodar rivers ghats in all parts of the coal town. DVC, power plant officials had set up ghats for Chhath at around several locations, officials said.

About 500 local police personnel and NGO personal were deployed at around 200 major intersections leading to the ghats, most of them in the several points, to ensure smooth flow of vehicular movement.

In Bermo and Giridih all roads in the city led to the Konar, Damodar rivers and ponds as thousands of people made a beeline to the six unit ghats, all sparkling clean and decked up to receive the devotees taking part in Chhath Puja.

 In Lohardaga town Thakurain pond and in rural area at Sithio Koel River, Chitri, and Harmu river banks were well prepared for the worshippers. At Sithio Koel bank at deep water site a Ramsetu bridge was made with bamboos and woods to go from one side to the other.

In Thakurain pond ghat many facilities were made available by the municipality and several social organizations. At Tiko river bank, Senha and Kairo block many Chhath devotees thronged to the ghats.

 On the other side DC Akanksha Ranjan and SP Priyadarshi Alok had deputed many police personnel to each Chhath ghats regarding security issues.
