Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the 66th national conference of the Anatomical Society of India at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that experts of anatomy from different parts of the country and abroad, will share their experiences with each other in the conference organised at AIIMS, which will become a strong ground for the improvement of medical services in the coming days. Students of medical education will also be able to learn a lot from these experts. He hoped that this conference will benefit the prospective physicians. He appreciated the fact that over 400 research papers are being presented on various subjects related to medicine in this conference.

Rawat said that along with better medical facilities, many courses related to medical treatment are being conducted in AIIMS Rishikesh.

With AIIMS Rishikesh progressing fast, the pressure on AIIMS Delhi has come down by 30 per cent. Today, there are 900 beds available for patients in AIIMS. He hoped that after undertaking the training from AIIMS, the students will go to the different parts across the country and make AIIMS proud.
