CM inaugurates Cuttack sewage plant

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a sewage treatment plant at CDA Sector-1 here on Wednesday. The plant is expected to boost the Millennium City’ sanitation management.

The advanced sewage treatment plant, constructed at a cost of Rs 110 crore, has a capacity of treating 3.60 crore litres per day, official sources said.

More than 275 km of sewage pipeline network has been completed under the project.

Drainage pumping station at Police Colony with discharge capacity of 72 lakh litres per hour has also been completed.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation-stone for the proposed Maulana Azad National Urdu University campus at CDA Sector-13 here.

The university will offer  polytechnic and ITI courses in the first phase.
