CM lays foundation of road construction projects

Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday laid foundation stone for six road construction schemes of Road-Construction Department at Bhababbandi village of Khardida Panchayat in Dumariya block of East Singhbhum district.

As per the project construction of 32.80 km long road will take place from Dumaria to Kovali to be built at a cost of Rs  55.506 crore. Construction of the Lilam Valley road from Kovali- Length 6.50 kilometers, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 17.68 crores. With completion of project Jharkhand's Potka and Dumria block will be connected directly to Odisha.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated 21 smart classes and two science centers from Bhagabandi village. Smart Classes are being set up in 21 schools in the district, under SCA scheme. Along with this, this facility is also being provided in Residential School, operated in the remote area of Lakshadham. Children of rural areas will be educated with the help of audio-visual equipment.  All teachers of all schools will be given training from time to time for 3 years so that teachers can be equipped with latest technology.

Science center has been established to develop and popularise the interest in science among children. The science center will play an important role in bringing the hidden talent in the children. Through this, scientific thinking will be developed in children.

Keeping this in view, under the special Central Assistance Scheme, the science center at the cost of 17 lakhs has been set up in the two schools of the district, Ashtakoshi Plus-II High School, Bhalukpatra, Block Dumaria and Milnebithi Plus-to-High School, Jwalkata, Block Gaurabanda.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working fast in developing infrastructure. The government is working on the basis of the schemes made by the people of the village.

The Chief Minister said that by December 2018, the aim is to electrify 32,000 villages of Jharkhand. Work will be done to make a separate feeder from 2019 for cultivation, separate feeder for the industry and electricity from the separate feeder for the general public.
