CM orders instant relief of Rs 75K to victims’ families

Expressing deep grief over the death of three employees of South Eastern Coalfields Limited in a mishap that occurred at Bagdeva coal mines in Korba district, newly-appointed Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday directed officials to ensure all possible assistance to the families of thwe deceased. The mishap occurred due to discharge of a poisonous gas in the underground mine.

One Mining Sardar Laxmikant and two carriers lost their life in the mishap. Two of the employees are in critical condition and have been referred to Bilaspur for further treatment.

The rescue team had rushed to the spot after incident was reported. Senior officials of SECL and Police were also busy with the rescue efforts. The Chief Minister took details from Korba District Collector and directed to provide all assistance to the affected and expressed his deep condolences to the grieving families.

He also directed the district administration to provide immediate relief of Rs 75,000 each to the family of the deceased.
