Congress party supports para-teachers’demands

Condemning the State government’s attitude towards the para teachers and their arrest and use of force on them Jharkhand State Congress Committee spokesman Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev today said that it was unfortunate for the State that for the past 15 years, as many 67,000 para teachers have been agitating but their problems remain unresolved.

 Addressing media persons in a press conference here on Wednesday Shahdeo said that JPCC president Dr. Ajay Kumarhas instructed block and disctrict committees to extend support to para teachers’ demands. He said  that Dr Kumar has asked the district and block committee members to cooperate and support para teachers in their respective areas. He said, para teachers want the pay scale should be given on the lines of Chhattisgarh.  “They should be paid equal pay to government teachers, direct appointment of on teacher post for those candidates who have passed the Educational Eligibility Test examination including others. The government should pay immediate attention on their demands,” he added.Following the line of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab who have made the endorsement, the Jharkhand government should work in the favour of para teachers. There are also 67,000 para teachers in Jharkhand, they should also be made permanent, he said.
