In bid to keep the city, environment and its properties clean, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to generate awareness among the people about cleanliness by organising online slogan writing competition with a theme 'Sawachchhata Bharat' Abhiyan. Also as a part of this campaign, Delhi Metro will also organize other programmes such as Nukkad Natak (Street Plays) at its premises including all the interchange station and at all and other major Metro stations to sensitize people about the importance of cleanliness.
“As part of the 'Sawachchhata Hi Sewa' theme of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” , the Delhi Metro intends to involve the passengers in its initiatives and make them equal stakeholders in the process of making the Metro as well as Delhi city clean,” said a senior official of DMRC.
Anyone who holds a smart card can participate in the DMRC's slogan writing competition. The topic of the 'Online Slogan Writing Competition' will be 'Clean Metro, Clean Delhi' which will start from 20th September to till 26th September, (midnight).
“The competition is open to all Smart Card Users of the Delhi Metro. To participate, one commuter has to fill an online form available at www.delhimetrorail.com. Only online entries will be accepted. The Slogans can be either in English or Hindi. Attractive prizes will be given away to the winners,” added the official.
Delhi Metro will organise campaign 'Swachchhata Hi Sewa' campaign from 15th September to 2nd October, 2018. Besides this, DMRC has also decided to host other programmes such as Nukkad Natak (Street Plays) will be organsied at at all interchange and other major Metro stations to sensitize people about the importance of cleanliness.
“Banners to create awareness about cleanliness are being displayed at stations. Also, cleanliness drives have also been launched at all Metro stations, offices, residential colonies and construction sites of DMRC,” Said the DMRC official.
DMRC will select the best maintained Metro station, best construction site and residential colony to award them with honor and prize as an incentive for maintaining cleanliness.
