Dry climate to continue in Doon

Though dry climate is likely to prevail in most parts of Uttarakhand it might rain and snow at some places in a few districts on Tuesday, says the regional meteorological centre.  As per the forecast issued by the weather department on Monday, it might rain in some districts, including Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Uttarkashi on Tuesday while it might snow at high-altitude places across these districts with height of 300O meters and above. The rest of the state would have a dry climate, the weather forecast added.

In Dehradun, the sky was generally clear though it turned cloudy for some time on the day. The Met department said that the climate is likely to remain dry here on Tuesday though the sky would be overcast for some parts of the day.  Besides, mist might form in the morning hours.

The mercury in the city is likely to remain the same on Tuesday as it  was on Monday with the minimum settling in the neighbourhood of 11 degree Celsius and the maximum hovering around 26 degree Celsius.

In Dehradun, the minimum temperature settled at 10.6 degree Celsius, normal, while the maximum hovered around 25.8 degree Celsius, one notch above the normal, on Monday.

The minimum temperature recorded at Mukteshwar was 5.3 degree Celsius, normal, while the maximum temperature settled at 17.2 degree Celsius- one notch above the normal.  The minimum was 7.6 degree Celsius at New Tehri and the maximum was 17.2 degree Celsius and they were 11.7 degree Celsius, one notch above the normal and 25.5 degree Celsius at Pantnagar, one notch above the normal.
