Acting on the order from Patiala House Court Delhi, the court commissioner and advocate raided the premises of a SIIDCUL- based company which was allegedly manufacturing duplicate products of a famous food brand.
The production unit has been sealed and the packaging materials have been seized. With no response received from the manufacturer, the notice had been slapped following which the raid was launched, informed the authorities.
It is learnt that acting on the written order from Delhi Patiala House Court, the court commissioner Sandeeep Messey and advocates Kuldeep Singh and Nitin Sharma raided the premises of the company -Akash Yog Health Product Private Ltd-and seized the products and packaging materials of Gavya Lotus foods along with machinery meant for manufacturing the same.
Later, speaking to The Pioneer, the advocate Kuldeep Singh said, “The action has been taken following the complaint by the client Lotus Foods. The proprietor Pankaj Agarwal lodged complaint with us. After receiving orders from the court, we sent a notice to the company.
But as no response was received the whole production unit has been sealed.” If anything is produced now in the premises it would be considered as contempt of court and action would follow, added Kuldeep.
