The much awaited pink corridor will be open to the public by November as the commissioner of Metro Rail Safety SK Pathak is all set to inspect the upcoming stations on October 20.
The section is the extension of the existing stations of the Pink Line from Shiv Vihar. It will connect from Shiv Vihar to Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake Metro Station. The corridor is constructed on 17.86 kilometre with 15 elevated stations with three major inter-change which will connect the Blue Line and Red Line at Anand Vihar, Karkardooma and Welcome (with Red Line).
According to the officials, this section will become the longest corridor of the Delhi Metro network once opening. After the launch, the network will become 313.86 kilometres long.
The new corridor will connect Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake, East Vinod Nagar- Mayur Vihar- II , Mandawali- West Vinod Nagar, IP Extension, Anand Vihar ISBT, Karkardooma, Karkardooma Court, Krishna Nagar, East Azad Nagar, Welcome, Jaffrabad, Maujpur- Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave and Shiv Vihar with three interchange at Anand Vihar, Karkardooma (Blue Line) and Welcome (Red Line).
