Veteran BJP leader and first agriculture minister of the State Deo Dayal Kushwaha breathed his last at a nursing home in Ranchi on Wednesday. Kushwaha had represented Hazaribagh Sadar in State Assembly thrice and was known as a mass leader. He was ill from last few weeks and admitted in Ranchi.
His family members said his condition kept deteriorating and all efforts to save him failed. His last rite will take place in his native Jhumra village. Present MLA from Hazaribag Sadar, Manish Jaiswal expressed his grief over the death of Kushwaha and said Hazaribag has lost the son of soil. He termed his death as big loss to party. Deputy Mayor Rajkumar Lal said his death created a big void. He said Kushwaha was a simple and man of good nature.
Death of Kushwaha sent shock waves among party workers who started reaching to his native village Jhumra. Many remembered him as a good human being.
