Four IAS officers get ACS rank

1987-batch IAS officers were promoted to Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) rank after a proposal of the General Administration Department to this effect was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Panaik on Tuesday.

According to the notification, while three IAS officers received in situ promotion, another officer currently serving in the Union Government received proforma promotion.

Rajesh Verma, who was serving as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, is now promoted as ACS to CM.

Tuhin Kanta Pandey, who was serving as Principal Secretary of Finance Department, was given In Situ promotion and he would continue as ACS Finance. Raj Kumar Sharma, who Steel and Mines Principal Secretary, was also given In Situ promotion.

Nikunja Kishore Sundaray is given proforma promotion of ACS rank as he is now serving in the Union Government.
