While it might rain at some places in the districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag the sky would remain partly cloudy in Dehradun on Sunday as per the forecast issued by the regional Meteorological centre. Isolated places in the above-mentioned districts might experience thundershower on the day. The higher reaches might also record light snowfall.

Dehradun might wake up to a foggy morning on Sunday while the sky would remain generally clear to partly cloudy, as per the weather report issued by the Met department on Saturday.

The mercury in the city is likely to remain the same on Sunday as it is on Saturday with the minimum settling in the neighbourhood of 12 degree Celsius and the maximum hovering around 27 degree Celsius.

The Met officers said that the temperature would go down in case it rains under the impact of the western disturbances.

Earlier, the weather officers had predicted rain for a day or two after November 10. The sky turned cloudy after the dusk fell in Dehradun on Saturday. However, rain remained elusive.

The weather officers further said that the people might have to wait for a week or a little more to have the winter chill. However, if it rains in the interim the mercury would drop substantially, particularly the maximum, say the weather officers.  

According to the weather forecast, the sky would be generally clear to partly cloudy on Sunday while there is a possibility of mist or shallow fog forming in some parts of the plain areas of the State during the morning hours of the day.

As per the forecast, the minimum temperature in Dehradun is likely to settle at 12 degree Celsius while the maximum would be in the neighbourhood of 27 degree Celsius on the day. 

In Dehradun, the minimum temperature settled at 12.4 degree Celsius, one notch above the normal, while the maximum hovered around 26.7 degree Celsius, normal, on Saturday.
