Government constitutes Steering Committee under National Water Mission

A State Level Steering Committee has been constituted by the State Government to prepare a State Specific Action Plan under the National Water Mission of the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. According to the order of the General Administration Department the Agriculture Production Commissioner has been nominated as Chairman and the Commissioner Command Area as Coordinator/ Nodal Officer of the committee. Total 14 members have been nominated in the State Level Steering Committee including Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary of the Water Resources, Forest and Rural Development Department and Principal Secretaries of Agriculture, Public Health Engineering, Public Works/ Industry/ Urban Administration along with the Narmada valley Development Department.  The MP Water Pollution Department has been nominated as Member Secretary, whereas Engineer in Chief of the Water Resources Department, Chief Engineer of Bodhi Water Resources Department, Chief Engineer of the Central Water Commission and the Regional Director of the Central Ground Water Council have also been nominated as members in the committee.
