Governor, CM and others extend Dussehra greetings

Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and others have extended greetings of Dussehra to the citizens of the State.

The Governor congratulated and extended good wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Dusshera (Vijayadashmi).

In her message extending greetings to the people of the state on the occasion, the Governor said that Vijayadashmi is a festival of joy and gaiety. This festival is a symbol of victory of truth over evil.

Patel further mentioned that valor and gallantry is worshipped in Indian Culture. The festival of Vijaydashmi gives an inspiration to seek strength and courage from the victory of Lord Shriram over Ravan and in the form of durga pooja.

The Governor has prayed for prosperity of the state and its people on this occasion.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended greetings to people of the state on Vijayadashami.

He said that Vijayadashami is symbolic of a prosperous Indian culture. It is celebrated as Lord Rama’s victory over Lanka after destroying Ravana, symbol of ‘ahankar’. It is an occasion of victory of good over evil.

He called upon people to free Madhya Pradesh of dirt, corruption, terrorism and poverty on the pious occasion of Vijayadashami.

Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is transforming into a strong, prosperous and fully developed state.

He said that we pray to God that Madhya Pradesh moves constantly ahead on the road to development and the lives of people is always full of joy and prosperity. Chouhan extended advance greetings of Diwali too.

Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh has congratulated the people of state on the occasion of Dussehra. He called upon the people of the State to pledge for eliminating evils over good in Madhya Pradesh and the country.

Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra extended greetings and good wishes to the people of the state on the festival of Vijayadashami.

In a message, Mishra said that Madhya Pradesh follows a tradition of celebrating all festivals including Dussehra with peace, unity and harmony.

He called upon people to continue this tradition. Mishra hoped for peace and prosperity of the people of the state on the occasion.

State assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma and Deputy Speaker Rajendra Kumar Singh, extending greetings on the festival appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with fervor and amity.
