Governor stresses on clean Himalaya and Ganga

The Governor Baby Rani Maurya said that Himalayas and Ganga are very important for the country and it is duty of everyone to keep them clean. She was addressing the concluding session of 40th National Public Relation Conference here on Monday. She said that Himalayas provide many types of herbs and if Himalayas are ignored the vital herbs and medicines would be lost forever.

The Governor said that everyone should take up a pledge to keep the environment around us clean and keep the Ganga free from pollutants.

Earlier in the day, the State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that that Uttarakhand offers unlimited opportunities in the field of tourism.

He urged the tourists to visit places like Chopta, Auli and Char Dhams. He extended invitation to the delegates to visit the State again.

The Director General of Uttarakhand State  Council of Science and Technology ( UCOST) Rajendra Dobhal, national president of PRSI Ajit Pathak and president of Dehradun chapter of PRSI Vimal Dabral were among those present on the occasion.
