Haryana defeat Delhi by 2-1 in semi-finals

The semi-finals of All India Civil Services Soccer competition was played here on Friday at the Soccer Ground at the City Stadium.

In the semi-finals Haryana defeated Delhi by 2-1 points and RSB Chandigarh defeated RSB Bangalore by 2-1 points and made it to the final. The final match will be played on Saturday, and the closing ceremony will be held simultaneously.

In the first semifinal match played today, Haryana's player Indrajit scored in the 22nd minute and Vinod scored one goal in the 33rd minute while Pushpendra from Haryana scored only one goal in the 35th minute and thus Haryana won by 2-1 points. The second match of the semi-finals was played between RSB Chandigarh and RSB Bangalore.

Harminder of Chandigarh scored one goal in the 23rd and 64th minute. While RSB Bangalore teammate Manju scored the only goal in the 75th minute and RSB Chandigarh won the match by 2-1 points and entered the finals. Under the competition, the final match will be played between Delhi and Bangalore and Haryana and RSB Chandigarh.

Besides, Madhya Pradesh has won four awards in the sailing competition.

The Sailing Sports Awards were organised by Yachting Association of India for the year 2018.

Under this, Water Sports Academy's sailing player Harshitha Tomar won the title of ‘Yacht person of the year’, Govind Bairagi won the title of ‘Most Promising Sailor of the Year’, and Uma Chahan has been nominated for the ‘Best Women Seller of the Year’ award, while promoting Sailing Sports, Secretary of the National Sailing School, Bhopal and Joint Director, Vinod Pradhan have been awarded.

These awards were given by Navy Chief and Chairman, Yachting Association of India, Admiral Sunil Lamba, at a function organized at Naval Offices Mess Quota House, Delhi.
