Haryana Police arrests drug peddler

Haryana Police have arrested three drug peddlers, including two resident of Himachal Pradesh, with 2 kg 100 gram charas worth over Rs 1 lakh from Gohana in district Sonipat.

A spokesman of Police Department on Wednesday said arrested have been identified as Nanakchand and Shayam Lal, both resident of Somakothi, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Ram Singh of Chidana in Sonipat.

He said trio was nabbed by a police team during patrolling when they were roaming in suspicious condition near village Chidana, Shamdi mor.

During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that they used to bring contraband (charas) from Himachal to supply it in Sonipat area on higher rates. All accused were booked under relevant Sections of NDPS Act and were sent in judicial custody after producing them in the court.
