Urging people to vote for the fourth term of the BJP Government, Chief Minister Raman Singh while campaigning for BJP candidate Tesu Lal Dhurandhar of Baloda Bazar Assembly constituency on Tuesday said the each vote will count and determine the fate and prosperity of the State.
“If people vote for Tesu Lal, the vote goes to me, the each vote counts in democracy,’’ remarked Raman Singh while addressing a public meeting at Tilda Newra.
Referring to his home seat Rajnandgaon which went to polls in the first phase on Monday, he said
“last time, people of Rajnandgaon had given me the lead of 35,000 votes but this time the people had ensured me that victory margin will be at least 66,000 votes as I recently turned 66 years-old.’’
Giving details about public welfare works undertaken for overall development in last 15 years, Singh said after formation of Baloda Bazar as a new district, the pace of development was speeded up. He alleged that Congress had kept the region in darkness and backwardness.
Appreciating the candidature of Tesu Lal, Chief Minister said, “As a teacher he has spread the light of knowledge in the region. Electing such a clean image person as a MLA who is known for honesty and integrity, will further accelerate development in Baloda Bazar.’’
Slamming the Congress party and its leaders, Chief Minister said Rs Rs their only aim is to anyhow gain power. Congress does not have right to form government because it has no leader and vision’’.
Commenting on promises made for farmers by Congress, Raman Singh said that opposition is auctioning the hard work and sweat of farmers by playing with their sentiments.
“Those giving loan at 16 percent are speaking to provide minimum support price of Rs 2500 and Rs 2800 per quintal’’ Singh observed.
