The House Committee led by Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra on Friday submitted its probe report relating to Abhijit Iyer Mitra’s anti-Odisha remarks and breach of privilege of the House along with his deposition in form of an affidavit to Speaker Pradeep Kumar Amat.
The report is likely to be tabled in the Assembly on Saturday.
“The House Committee submitted its report to the Speaker today. As the Assembly proceedings were adjourned, the report will be tabled tomorrow,” Mishra told mediaprsons outside the House.
It may be noted that Mitra had appeared before the House panel at least for three times and submitted an affidavit. He had also tendered an unconditional apology before the panel.
