Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has accepted the proposal of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to set up ‘State Bhavan’ at ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Complex’ near the ‘Statue of Unity’.
In a letter written to Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Rupani has said that State Bhavan would facilitate tourists coming from Haryana in their visit to the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat.
He also thanked the people of Haryana for their contribution in making of this iconic statue.
Rupani has said that ‘State Bhavan’ would be set up on a land measuring 1500 square meters to be allotted by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET) at a token rate of Rs 51 lakh. This amount would be ploughed back in to develop common infrastructure and to maintain ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat Complex’. The State Bhawan would be independently operated by the Haryana Government, the Gujarat Chief Minister said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi would dedicate the ‘Statue of Unity’ to the nation on October 31.
