National Metallurgist Day Celebrations
The Research and Development Centre of SAIL located at Ranchi bagged away two prestigious awards at the 56th National Metallurgist Day celebrations held at hotel J W Marriott, Kolkata on November 14. KK Keshari, DGM & Head of Steel Making & Casting Group, who hails from Ranchi, was awarded the coveted "Metallurgist of the Year" award, whereas Kundan Prakash, DGM & Head (RDCIS Bhilai Centre) was awarded the prestigious OP Jindal Gold Medal for his outstanding contribution made in the field of ferrous metallurgy. In a glittering ceremony amidst all the stalwarts of Metal Industry, both were conferred the accolades.
RRD’s Child Line Week
In a bid to spread awareness about sensitive issues of children, a formal inauguration of ‘Child Line Week’ was inaugurated on November 14. On the second day of the programme a series of activities was organised in the presence of ADRM Vijay Kumar, CPRO and Senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) of Ranchi division, Neeraj Kumar and other senior officials. Friendship bands were tied to mark the occasion.
