Guv urges people to provide education to children

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya urged all the people to provide education to their children in every situation and teach them to live with unity and harmony. It would be the real tribute and honor to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India, said Governor while speaking at national seminar on the occasion of 63rd  Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas organised at Golden Jubilee Hall of Panjab University here.

 Vodafone, NASSCOM and VSO launch VIBE

Chandigarh: Vodafone Foundation, part of Vodafone Idea Ltd, in partnership with the NASSCOM Foundation and VSO, announced the launch of ‘VIBE’, a unique and holistic mobile based digital solution to inspire volunteering, drive volunteer mobilisation and engagement as well as to diligently manage the output and impact of volunteering efforts. The aim of launching VIBE was to drive inclusion, help organisations in the developmental sector scale, and for driving larger social good. A comprehensive web based online dashboard, easily accessible via mobile provides a convenient bridge connecting individual volunteers seeking purposeful opportunities, corporates interested in offering their work force for volunteering and developmental sector organisations- NGOs, Trusts, Social Enterprises, seeking the services of such committed volunteers.

The Splendor of Kashmir exhibition

Chandigarh: The Splendor of Kashmir, launched for the first time in Chandigarh, their Heirloom Collection 2018-19, organized by Varuna Anand Founder & Designer, The Splendor of Kashmir.  The Exhibition is organized in different parts of India showcasing its exclusive range of shawls from Kashmir.  The Splendor of Kashmir showcased its heirloom collection, an exclusive collection of luxurious pashmina shawls along with other wide range of hand embroidered and hand woven shawls.

HDFC Bank to hold ‘Blood Donation Drive’ today

Chandigarh: HDFC Bank will organise the 12th edition of its national Blood Donation Drive on December 7, a part of the Bank’s Parivartan; its umbrella brand for all its social initiatives. The call this year is to inspire and encourage more and more people to come forward to donate blood in this largest single-day blood donation initiative.

Tanwar pays homage to Ambedkar

Chandigarh:  Ashok Tanwar, chief Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee paid homage toBaba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Father of the Constitution of India, on his Mahaprinirvan Divas in a function organised at Ambedkar Chowk, Rohtak by garlanding the statute of Baba Saheb.

HBSE to give another chance to 200 candidates

Chandigarh: Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) is giving one final chance to those 200 candidates who were unable to get their fingerprints matched at examination centre for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test December (HTET)-2017, to appear for the completion of process at Board headquarters, Bhiwani on December 15 and 16, said a spokesman.  

Workshop on online budgeting 

Chandigarh: Haryana Higher Education Department would organise a three-day workshop on ‘Online Budgeting, Tendering and Financial Control’ at Divisional Training Centre HIPA, Hisar from December 17 to 19. A spokesman said in view of the difficulties being faced by officers and officials in online budgeting, tendering and financial control, the workshop is being organised for all government colleges in the districts Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Jind, Meham and Hansi.Principals of all government colleges of the said districts have been directed to send the nominations of interested officers and officials to HIPA Gurugram under intimation to the office of Director General, Higher Education by email.
