ECoR holds healthy diet exhibition

Bhubaneswar: To spread awareness among the general public as a whole and railway employees in particular, an exhibition on diabetes and healthy diet was organised by the East Coast Railway’s Central Hospital here on Wednesday. ECoR General Manager Umesh Singh inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Additional GM Rajiv Sharma and ECoR Women’s Welfare Organisation president Madhulika Singh. Doctors and paramedical staffs of the hospital headed by Chief Medical Director Dr Sukanta Kumar Mohanty and medical experts were available for consultation. Earlier in the early morning, Additional GM Sharma flagged off a walkathon to mark the occasion.

AMRI holds Diabetes Day 

Bhubaneswar: To create awareness about prevention of diabetics, the AMRI Hospitals in association with Silver Age Foundation for Elders organised a walkathon here on the occasion of World Diabetes Day on Wednesday. A basic health check up camp held on the occasion witnessed participation of 200 senior citizens. Diabetics specialist Dr Ritesh Agarwal delivered a talk on the theme, “Diabetics concerns every family. Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena gracing as chief guest hailed the programme. AMRI Hospitals VP Lakhmi Narayan Reddy Chinnam and Silver Age Foundation for Elders trustee Amar Jyoti Mahapatra spoke.

All India Police Judo Cluster in Cuttack from today 

Cuttack: The Odisha Police is organising the 3rd edition of All India Police Judo Cluster-2018 from November 15 to 19 at two venues Cuttack in which 1,200 players and 300 officials and trainers from 33 teams, consisting of Central Para Military Forces and State Police Organisations would participate. These teams would compete in four events, namely, Judo, Gymnastics, Taekwondo and Wushu in the event organised under the guidance of 'All India Police Sports Control Board' and support of the Sports and Youth Services Department. The Mascot for the Asian Athletics Championship and World Cup Hockey 'Olly' has been taken as the mascot of the event.

Swiggy launches services in city

Bhubaneswar: Swiggy, the largest food ordering and delivery platform in India, has expanded its footprint in Bhubaneswar. With over 150 restaurants on board already, local favourites like Green Chillyz, Odisha Hotel, Biriyani Box, Tandooriwala, Sardarji, Jugaad Jn, Kebabs and Curries, Wok on will now be available on the platform. Food lovers in the city will be able to avail exciting discounts from over 145 of these restaurants. Swiggy has already launched in Patia and Chandrashekharpur and will expand to Sahid Nagar and Jayadev Vihar in two weeks.
