CM urged for Rushikulya embankment

Bhubaneswar: BJD Ganjam district vice-president Arun Panda and Zilla Parishad Vice-President Snehalata Panda met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence on November 6 for construction of anembankment in the Rushikulya river from Kumbhari to Balia. They stated that areas like Achuli, Handighara, Jalasarkhandi, PratapPur, Chadhiakuli, Mendhakuli and Godhiali are badly affected by theflood water in the river and hence, the embankment can save peoplefrom the flood fury. They got an assurance from the Chief Minister in this regard.

SKIS celebrates Children’s Day 

Bhubaneswar: The Shree Krishna International School (SKIS) celebrated the Children’s Day where school Principal Dr Swarupa Nanda Mishra, Vice-Principal Kabindra Dash, Admin Srikant Routray paid floral tribute to first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. Dr Mishra spoke on the importance of the day. A cultural programme was also organised in which teachers staged many programmes.
