BBMB bagged three awards

Chandigarh: BBMB has created history by winning all first, second and third prizes in the category of subordinate offices for implementation of official language in "B" region. The first, second and third awards were attained by three chief engineer offices namely Chief Engineer, Bhakra Dam, Nangal, Chief Engineer Transmission System, Chandigarh and Chief Engineer System operation Chandigarh respectively. These awards were received by concerned Chief Engineers of BBMB on Monday from Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home affairs here. Rijiju also released second issue of BBMB House Journal "BBMB Samachar".

HTET on Jan 5 and 6

Chandigarh: Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani will conduct Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) on January 5 and 6, 2019. The information related to the examination is available on the official website of the Board www.bseh.org.in and http://htetonline.com. The interested candidates could apply online for HTET exam on websitehttp://htetonline.com from November 19 to 30. Before applying online, the candidates must read carefully the important guidelines given on information bulletin on the board’s website to ensure their eligibility. After successful submission of online application and deposit of examination fees, the candidates would take print out of two copies of the confirmation page (center and candidate copy).

PGIMER neurosurgeons publishes journal

Chandigarh: Neurosurgeons of PGIMER namely Dr Dhandapani SS, Dr Apinder and others under Dr SK Gupta have published “how their department has improved the outcome of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in "STROKE". This is a prestigious american journal with impact factor more than 6. SAH is a type of hemorrhagic stroke due to bleeding from ruptured aneurysms in brain. Dr Dhandapani and others have analyzed and showed that comprehensive care with streamlined protocols and other advances in their hospital services such as continuous monitoring could improve the surgical outcome of these patients. Their article in "STROKE" is the first such scientific paper from any developing country or possibly the largest single center data on time trends of SAH outcome in the world. 

Canara Bank Chandigarh Circle celebrates 113 Founder’s Day

Chandigarh: Canara Bank, Chandigarh Circle under the leadership of Shabbir Hussain, General Manager celebrated 113 Founder's Day with the programme starting by remembering and expressing the gratitude to Bank’s founder, Late Ammembal Subba Rao Pai for his wisdom and ambition in establishing Canara Bank and contribution to the society.  Canara Bank Chandigarh Circle with its jurisdiction over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh celebrated the Founder’s day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The circle organized various activities like distribution of sweaters at Govt. Sr. Secondary Girls School, Sohana, distribution of warm blankets at old age home, customer meets and CSR activities.

British Council holds Study UK exhibition

Chandigarh: The British Council, UK's international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations, is hosting a 'Study UK Exhibition' on Sunday, November 25. The Exhibition will provide information about the scholarship options available to the students including the recently announced 70 year scholarship for women in STEM. It will also be a platform to meet top UK universities under one roof. Alongside the event, there will be information on studying and living in the UK from representatives of UK institutions. The exhibition calls out to the interested students as well as their parents, giving them a platform to interact with the delegates from 6 UK institutions in India in order to answer all their questions regarding course choices, visas, applications, scholarships and more.
