‘Bonus for farmers this year too’

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday addressed massive public meetings at Bhanegaon and Kirnapur of Balaghat district. In public meeting at Bhanegaon, the chief minister said that bonus will be given to farmers on minimum support price on paddy this year too. The Chief Minister announced to open MSc and MCom classes in local colleges in the meeting in Kirnapur. Chouhan laid foundation for three major projects in Malajkhand costing Rs 469.26 lakh. The projects are chief minister infrastructure development worth Rs 319.22 lakh, prime minister mining region welfare scheme of Rs 65.81 lakh and city ward development scheme to be funded from municipality fund and worth of Rs 84.23 lakh. Member of Parliament Bodh Singh Bhagat, district panchayat president Anupama Netam, city council chairman Meena Maskole, other public representatives and local people were present in the big number.

Meeting held on arrangements for PM’s visit

Bhopal: A meeting was held regarding security and arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bhopal on September 25 under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh. Chief Secretary Singh issued necessary instructions for smooth traffic arrangements, route fixation, communication and medical arrangements. Additional chief secretary, forests, KK Singh, principal secretary, energy, IPC Kesri, director general of police Rishi Kumar Shukla, principal secretary to chief minister and technical education, Ashok Varnawal, principal secretary to chief minister office and public relations, SK Mishra and officials of district administration, army, municipal corporation, Bhopal were present in the meeting.

Rekha sharma meets Chief Secy

Bhopal: National Woman’s Commission Chairman Rekha Sharma today met Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh. CS Singh apprised Sharma with the various schemes and programmes being run for women in Madhya Pradesh and about their progress. Sharma said that reservation of posts for women in Police Department is a commendable initiative in the direction of women empowerment. She laid stress on the need to make separate arrangement for women candidates during the recruitment process. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development JN Kansotiya, Principal Secretary Tribal Affairs Department SN Mishra, Principal Secretary Social Justice Ashok Kumar Shah, Principal Secretary School Education, Dipti Goud Mukherji, Commissioner Women and Child Development Ashok Kumar Bhargav were present on the occasion.
