Mowgli Bal Utsav-2018 to be held on Sept 24

Bhopal: A State level Master Trainer and Quiz Master training programme will be organised under the Mowgli Bal Utsav-2018 on September 24 by the Environmental Planning and Co-ordination Organisation (EPCO). Master trainers and quiz masters from all 51 districts will participate in the programme to be held at EPCO auditorium from 12 noon to 5 pm.The subject experts will provide information about the activities of eco club school, work plans of environment conservation run in the districts etc to the master trainers. The participants will be trained to organise competitions among schools at the district level. Trained quiz masters will organise questionnaire contests in their respective districts. Two boys and two girls selected from each district through the competition will take part in the Mowgli Bal-Utsav. The Mowgli Bal Utsav 2018 will be organised in four national parks of the state including Kanha National Park, Mandla, Bandhavgarh National Park, Umaria, Pench National Park, Seoni and Madai National Park, Hoshangabad.

Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana beneficiaries can apply for second year

Bhopal: Students who have availed the benefits of Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana in the session 2017-18 in the first year can apply for the scheme for the second year by opting for the renewal option on the portal through their old login ID and password. Director, Technical Education Virendra Kumar told that the mark-sheet of Ist year, entrance form of IInd year and details/ receipt of fees of IInd year must be uploaded mandatorily. This year’s proceedings have to be done according to the procedure adopted for verification and forwarding in the first year in all the institutions located in Madhya Pradesh. The beneficiaries from outside Madhya Pradesh will have to submit the verification papers online along with the hard copy of the application and the necessary documents and the verification slip to the Directorate of Technical Education. Detailed information in this regard is available on the portal of the Yojana.

Alcohol Prohibition Week to be held from Oct 2 to 8

Bhopal: An Alcohol Prohibition Week will be organised from October 2 to 8, 2018 in state on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Awareness programme will be organised from district to gram panchayat level during this period. Director, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare told that like every year, students and the society are apprised with the ill-effects of consumption of alcohol, tobacco, gutka, cigarette and other intoxicants during the alcohol prohibition week organised from October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti). Public welfare programmes are organised by departments of Education, Health and Family Welfare, Woman-Child Development, Transport, Home, Sports and Youth Welfare, School Education and local organisations during the week. He said that support will be sought from voluntary organisations also in this work. A district level implementation committee has also been constituted in the State headed by the Collector to put a check on substance abuse. The awareness programmes will include events like administering pledge against substance abuse, filling affidavits, exhibition, organizing debates in educational institutions, speech, painting and slogan-writing contests, essay competition, etc.
