JSpur dist science exhibition inaugurated
Jagatsinghpur: State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Bishnu Das on Tuesday inaugurated the 45th district-level science exhibition at the SK Academy premises here. Das said science has led to transformation from conventional practice and used of modern apparatuses. So, the 21 century is the century of science. Balikuda-Erasama MLA Prasanta Muduli, NISER Vice-Chancellor Dr Abhaya Kumar Nayak and ADM Satchidannanda Sahoo also spoke on the occasion. District Education Officer Pratibha Manjari Das chaired the meeting. As many as 80 projects from different schools across the district were presented. Six of the projects would be recommended to the State-level science exhibition in coming days, said District Science Supervisor Subash Chandra Rout.
GMR DAV School celebrates annual day
Bhubaneswar: The GMR Varalakshmi DAV Public School in Dhenkanal district celebrated its 8th annual day ‘Apratim’ in the school premises on Tuesday. Chief guest GKEL COO Ramesh R Pai inaugurated the function and thanked teachers for making the school’s name with better results in matriculation examination in the last two years.
