Mumbai-based Indofil Industries Ltd (Established 1962), which is leader in manufacturing Mancozeb and Cymoxanil (technical’s) in India and globally has launched a specialty Fungicide Moximate-for the late blight of potato. It is a dual action fungicide which controls the disease by its protective as well as curative action, claims the company. “Moximate is a rapid uptake fungicide which immediately gets trans-located in the plant and offers long duration of disease control,†says Maheshkumar Khambete, General Manager (marketing) Indofil and adds that the farmers must identify the disease and then choose the right crop protection chemical to fight it. He further says that Indofil has appointed well-trained Krishi Doots to guide farmers to make safe and judicious use of crop protection chemicals.
