Denying the allegation in a hurriedly called media briefing, State BJP President Dharamlal Kaushik said that it was not the ashes of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee but the soil being collected from different parts of State in the plastic bottles for the proposed Atal Memorial at Atal Nagar. “She could have quietly walked in and even checked if any such act of disrespect is being shown to her paternal uncle by the BJP  or its leaders”, Kaushik said.

He said that had if she was so much concerned about her paternal uncle, she should have arrived when the ashes were there and took some part, so that it could have been immersed with rituals as a family member.
