Jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh  burgled from Bairagarh

Gold and silver jewellery worth Rs  1 lakh was burgled from Bairagarh Chichli under Kolar police station on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim Harendra Singh had gone for some work in the morning and when he returned late in the afternoon the house was found ransacked. Police said that the victim along with his family members had gone for some work and when he returned the house was found ransacked.

In his complaint, the victim stated that when he returned the lock of his house was found broken and when he entered the house almirah broken and gold and silver and cash were missing from inside. Gold and silver jewelry and Rs  15000 cash were found burgled.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation a case under sections 454 and 380 of the IPC has been registered by the police and started the further investigation. Police suspect that the miscreants were aware of the movement of the victim which helped them to commit the crime in less time. The victim might have passed the information of his leaving the house or his acquaintances might have passed the information indirectly to the miscreants. Meanwhile, two pick pockets were nabbed by passengers of low floor city bus near Board Office square while they tried to stealing wallet of a passenger in the evening on Wednesday. The victim Sanjay Sharma boarded city bus from Board Office square to Habihganj and after entering the bus one of the pick pockets tried to steal wallet which he spotted and caught him while passengers caught his accomplice. The two were handed over to police. The two were identified as Rizwan and Arbaz Khan of Aishbagh.
