living upto the promises made by the Government to make the State a hub for film production and development of art and culture in the State, the Jharkhand International Film Festival is set to enthrall audiences here at the Mega Sports Complex from Friday. The three-day mega event will be inaugurated by Governor Droupadi Murmu and CM Raghubar Das in the presence of movie stars of national and international repute, on Friday.
The opening day of the film festival would be marked with a plethora of events including address of Governor, Chief Minister, who’s who from the film industry, felicitation of artists, screening of movies, talent hunt programme, workshops, talks, Jharkhand folk show and contest among others participated by a large number of people from the film fraternity.
During the inauguration ceremony Bollywood Celebrities and Guests of Honour Ramesh Sippy, Amol Palekar , Kiran Juneja, Sanjay Mishra, Raj Kumar Gupta, Akhilendra Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, Singer Shilpa Rao, Spanish Actor-Prabhakar Sharan, Director KR Prasad from New York, Miss Natelie, Actress of Poland , Manish Awasthi from India News, Sneha Ullal, lin liashram (Mericom Fame), Anand Raut, Director, Soundarya Sharma, Rituparn Sen Gupta , Komal Nahta, Rajesh Jais, Pankaj Jha, Divesh Nath, CEO and Ambassadors of several countries are also expected to join.
The welcome of guests with 100 Nagaras, 41 Mandara and 21 Turi alongwith 51 Dancing Girls in Jharkhand Folk costume will be done during the inauguration. Former CMs Hemant Soren, Arjun Munda, Babulal Marandi and Shibu Soren will also be present on the occasion. Screening of selected 65 films (Short,Docu &Feature ) in different genre/Categories out of 156 entries will be screened all 3 days of the event at Kala Bhawan Audi 1 & State Museum Audi-2 adjacent to Mega Sports Complex, the main venue and Different Multiplexes of Ranchi at no cost including 3 Nominated Motivational Children Films would be screened for School Students.
On the second day apart from talent Hunt Programs for youth and budding filmmakers, Dance battle between Folk Dance forms of Jharkhand and other entertaining cultural events will be lined up on all different days. A Night Cricket Match with Debashish Barua Aka of DJ Brahmin between Bollywood Personalities and CS-11 of SKIll INDIA MISSION participants will be played followed by dinner.
Also a local sightseeing to different waterfalls and ancient temples will scheduled for 200 Delegates participating in Festival coming from different part of India and globe.
On the concluding day of the Award Night will begin where Chief Guest will be Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Mahesh Bhatt, Guests of Honor will be Anupam Kher, Ramesh Sippy, Amol Palekar, Kiran Juneja, Raj Kumar Gupta, Ravi Kishan, Gulshan Grover, Sanjay Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, International Model lin laishram, Steffy Patel Miss India Jharkhand alongwith a number of celebrities will be present on the occasion.
