Jogi on extensive tour of Bastar for poll campaign

Janata Congress Chhattisgarh Supremo Ajit Jogi has begun his four day long tour of the Bastar region for campaigning for JCC (J)-BSP-CPI alliance. He failed to address scheduled meeting at Chitrakote and Jagdalpur due to his health issue.

Notable, polling is scheduled to be held in Naxal infested Bastar region in the first phase on November 12.

As per official sources in JCC (J), Jogi will address public meetings in eight Assembly constituencies during his visit. Among them JCC (J) is contesting in six namely Chitrakot, Jagdalpur, Narayanpur, Bhanupratappur, Bijapur and Bastar while remaining two Dantewada and Konta are being contested by CPI.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

On Sunday, as his health deteriorated, he could not attend the public meeting but his address was relayed through mobile phone in the public meeting. The helicopter, he was travelling also developed technical snag.

On Monday Jogi is expected to address public meetings at Narayanpur and Charama in Bhanupratappur assembly constituencies.

On Tuesday, the public meetings of Jogi are scheduled at Dantewada and Konta assembly segments. While on Wednesday, he will address public meetings at Bijapur and Bastar before returning back to state capital.

During the tour period, Jogi will be staying at Jagdalpur, Bastar district headquarters, during night, JCC (J) sources informed.
