Kolar Police arrests miscreant for attacking youth with weapon

Kolar police have booked a miscreant for attacking a 22-year-old youth with sharp- edged weapon in the afternoon on Wednesday at Damkheda.

Police said that the victim Mukesh Rajput was attacked by the accused Thakur Ram Sahu in the afternoon near his house. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is reportedly stable.  

The victim lodged a complaint with the police stating that the incident took place at around 1 pm when he returned after shopping home he found miscreants standing outside his neighbour Thakur Ram Sahu's home and were abusing.

To stop them he went near Sahu’s house and when he opened the door he was attacked by Thakur with a sharp edged weapon injuring him in his head and neck and went unconscious due to profuse bleeding. 

The victim sustained severe wounds behind his neck and is undergoing treatment in JK hospital.

Based on the complaint lodged by the victim a case under section 307 of the IPC was registered by the police.

The reason of the attack remained unknown and would be investigated in the further investigation. More details regarding the attack would be revealed after the arrest of the absconding accused. The complainant Mukesh Rajput alias is a resident of Damkheda near Shiva temple. He works as a whitewasher.

In the initial investigation, police have not found any dispute of the victim with the accused and what led to the attack remains unclear. The past crime record of the victim and accused would be investigated.
