Late Union minister’s ashes immersed in Ganga

The ashes of the late union minister Ananth Kumar were immersed in the Ganga river at Har ki Paidi in Haridwar on Tuesday. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and cabinet minister Madan Kaushik among others were also present during the immersion of the ashes.Remembering Kumar on the occasion, the chief minister said that he was a true well-wisher of Uttarakhand.He wanted to alot for Uttarakhand. Kumar had said that he would be extremely happy in giving approval to the proposals sent to his ministry by the Uttarakhand government.

While recalling his visit to Uttarakhand, Rawat said that in July, CIPET was inaugurated by Kumar in Doiwala.

CIPET is something big given by him to Uttarakhand. Giving 833 acres land of IDPL free of cost to Uttarakhand, a plastic recycling unit in Doiwala, approval of plastic medical devices park in Sitarganj and approval for 100 additional centres for generic medicines in Uttarakhand, reflects his special attachment with Uttarakhand. Kumar will always remain in the hearts and memories of people of Uttarakhand, added Rawat.
